Fillers are generally considered to cause a bit more discomfort than wrinkle relaxers such as Botox and Dysport treatments. Discomfort level should be manageable if treatments are performed by experienced practitioners. If you are concerned about the discomfort, we recommend you taking Tylenol® (if not contraindicated) one hour before your appointment. We also provide topical numbing cream, and ask that patients arrive 30 minutes in advance of their treatments for numbing

Results from fillers are immediate, but there may be some bruising or swelling after the treatment. Fillers absorb water and integrate with your tissue over 2-4 weeks so final results can be seen in 2-4 weeks. We treat conservatively for our dermal fillers to ensure natural results which sometimes means that you may need follow-up appointments to achieve optimal results that you desire.

With any injectable treatments, there can be some bruising, redness, or swelling on the injection sites after filler treatments. These symptoms should generally dissipate within 48 hours from the treatment. Please review our before and after care instructions carefully prior to the appointment to minimize downtime.

Areas that require frequent movements such as smile lines are typically treated with softer fillers that allow you to preserve your natural expressions

At Oasis Med Spa, we tend to inject conservatively during the first appointments and will add more volume in follow-up appointment, as necessary to ensure natural results

Dermal fillers require advanced technique so it is important to receive treatments from experienced and trained practitioners. All of our practitioners are highly experienced and trained on each procedure.

Fillers typically last between 9 to 12 months. Longevity of the fillers can depend on the type of fillers used and the area treated. Areas with low dynamic movement such as cheekbones and jawline can be injected with denser fillers deeper into the skin layer, making the fillers last longer. Areas with a lot of dynamic movement such as lips and smile lines require softer fillers and can only be injected more superficially making it last for shorter amount of time.

Hyaluronic acid based fillers have been FDA approved since 2003 and have been broadly used with minimal side effects and complications. It’s important to note that hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance found in our skin, and it plays a key role in keeping skin hydrated and volumized

This doesn’t mean that fillers do not come with risks. Fillers require advanced technique making it important to receive the treatment from licensed, trained, and experienced practitioners.

Fillers are naturally absorbed and broken down in our body over time. However, for those with overfilled or misplaced fillers who want to dissolve them immediately, we can treat the area(s) of concern with an enzyme called Hylenex to help dissolve the fillers

At Oasis Med Spa, we tend to inject conservatively during the first appointments and will add more volume in follow-up appointment, as necessary to ensure that we reach natural and optimal results.

Our skin naturally loses volume as we age causing it to sag. We use fillers to fill in those areas with volume loss to restore a more youthful appearance. Fillers are naturally absorbed and broken down in our body, and will gradually dissipate in 9 to 12 months. Your skin will then return to its original state, but most likely with slightly stronger / hydrated skin as fillers are made with Hyaluronic acid which attracts and retains water

It is important to note that at Oasis Med Spa, we do not overfill your skin. Our goal is to restore what was lost. All of our practitioners tend to inject conservatively during treatments, and will let patients know if their desired results compromise the integrity of their skin.
